As the new Superintendent of Pershing County Schools, I am honored and grateful for the opportunity to lead and serve our students, staff, families, and community members.
I want to extend a warm welcome to everyone as we begin a new school year and assure you that all necessary preparations have been made to ensure a successful start.
I would like to express my gratitude to all those who have contributed to the readiness of our schools, including our dedicated teachers, support staff, building and grounds, transportation and professional support staff. Our principals and directors have been equally busy this summer preparing for the upcoming school year. Their commitment and hard work are essential in supporting student learning and success.
To our staff, both new and veteran, I welcome you to the profession and/or district. Your expertise and dedication are invaluable in providing quality education to our students.
Our mission emphasizes hard work, dedication, and leveraging our size as a strength. Pershing County School District will continue to uphold these values from Pre-K through 12th grade.
Student involvement in clubs, activities, and sports is integral to an overall learning experience. PCSD is committed to providing opportunities for engagement both inside and outside the classroom. PCSD believes that active participation fosters a well-rounded education and helps students thrive.
I also want to emphasize the importance of our partnership with families and community members. Building and maintaining strong relationships is key to academic and athletic achievement, and we look forward to working together to support our students.
Teachers will start on August 20th, and students will begin on August 26th. I am excited for the year ahead and am confident that, together, we will make it a great school year.
Thank you for your continued support and dedication to the success of our students.
Thank you,
Dennis Holmes
